Our approach is to provide you with the assessments, discussion and discernment exercises to ensure the best investment of your gifts, talents, and natural abilities in the arena where you can make the biggest difference. Leader Coaching
All leaders have two types of blind spots: things others know about you that you don’t know and the yet unknown abilities and limitations. The key to success is chipping away at the blind spots. We come alongside and invest time in one-on-one interviews with those in your circle to shine light into the first blindspot and use highly sophisticated assessments to discern the yet unknown — what makes you, you. We also have a collected a wealth of leadership technique, tools, tricks of the trade. Lots of coaches can do assessment and tell you what’s wrong. Very, very few have clocked the hours we have in studying leaders in the wild so to speak. We go beyond the bucket and brush approach and give you laser specific ideas to fit with your abilities, your industry and your organization.
Visioning
In today’s world, it is impossible to truly lead without a shared vision. A vision is the picture in your head of the future. It becomes powerful when it is shared. It is not a number or a percentage. Many say they have a vision when in fact what they have is last year’s financial metrics dressed up a bit to look okay this year. A vision is much more. It inspires people to give their best and enjoy the ride. We facilitate boards and leadership teams in understanding their business climate and creating a shared vision.
Strategic Discernment
We have led Strategic Planning sessions for decades, good ones! They won’t work anymore. We each lead in an environment that is too volatile for traditional planning. We also no longer have the luxury of collecting all the available data before making a decision. We live in an age when leaders must discern a path forward and then play it like a chess match with future moves visualized but not fossilized. To accomplish this with leadership teams, we use a new method we call Strategic Discernment.
